![]() Great artwork in Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8. This comic not only shows Bruce opening up more to those who care about him, but it also shows that Batman isn’t just a person, but an idea and a responsibility to live up to, as evidenced by Terry’s refusal to change Bruce’s moral code. It is interesting though that despite this being set in the future, Bruce and Barbara are really the only characters who appear to have aged significantly. ![]() It really shows the bat-family coming together, and it depicts Bruce as a compassionate father figure. The thrilling conclusion to this series! Batman: Beyond the White Knight #8 is a fun ride and wraps up the story nicely, re-imagining the characters in a fresh new way and offers potential for future spinoff comics. I don’t think I’ll ever get Romeo and Benvolio singing Troy’s hip-hop song “Girl, oh oh oh oh oh, girl…” out of my head. Selfors takes a well-known legend and spins it into something fresh, interesting and poignant at places, hysterically funny at others. I’m already envisioning Molly Quinn from ABC’s “Castle” and Justin Bieber as the Mimi and Troy characters in the movie. Selfors’ treatment of the characters and the plot is exquisite.
